Jen started writing full-time ten years ago after the character of Mia Childs insisted she be heard. The Promise book one in the Children of Annwn is a YA fantasy series. The opening scene of her standing in the ocean saying good-bye was vivid, and compelled her to craft the fantasy. The story flowed and the excitement to create this magical, coming of age series, consumed her for the next four years. The series centers around Mia Childs and her friends, who must battle against their own fear and defeat the evil that is invading the human realm.
